About Wise Home Comfort: Who We Are
Wise Home Comfort is a free, plain-language guide to heating, cooling and home energy for homeowners across the United States. We explain how heat pumps and air conditioners work, the upkeep you can safely do yourself, the questions to ask before you repair or replace a system, and what official rebate and tax-credit pages actually say.
Who we are
Wise Home Comfort is created by Rolando and Esmeralda Cornejo and run by Top Rank ROI LLC (www.toprankroi.com). We are not HVAC contractors, and we don’t present ourselves as experts. What we do is read the official sources carefully, link them, and explain them the way we’d explain them to family.
Today’s tagline: We date our guides and update them when the rules change.
What we cover
- Heat pumps, central air conditioners and ductless systems: how they work and how to compare them.
- Filters, thermostats, ducts and seasonal check-ups.
- Repair-or-replace decisions, written estimates and hiring a licensed contractor.
- Federal programs first (U.S. Department of Energy, ENERGY STAR, EPA, IRS), then state and utility programs, labeled with the state they apply to.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell HVAC equipment or installation, and we don’t take payment for recommendations.
- We don’t give refrigerant, gas or electrical how-tos. That work belongs to licensed, certified technicians.
- We don’t give personal tax, legal or financial advice.
Our mission
We only speak the truth. We only help within the category we cover. We always cite our sources, and we’re friendly and easy to do business with. Our objective is to help you find a better alternative, or to confirm that your present choice is already your best choice. We’re creative in how we explain things, but we never exaggerate: we say only what’s true, and nothing misleading or unverified.
